My name is Susanna Hoare and I am a fully qualified accredited psychotherapist registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as well as a photographer. I provide psychotherapy in Truro.
I have found psychotherapy has benefitted me and helped me to grow when I have needed to face and work through difficulties. I particularly like self-compassion practices which I believe invite a friendlier relationship towards thinking and feeling. I am interested in how existential themes of life, death and loss of purpose effect our ability to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.
I have a warm approachable gentle style and am helped by Mindfulness practices as well as drawing support and strength from nature and my love of animals.
I have a Masters Degree in Core Process Psychotherapy and I follow the ethical guidelines of UKCP.
Ongoing professional development is important to me so that I can expand my thinking and skills and keep up to date with current research and new discoveries. I regularly undertake additional training. I am particularly interested in the body and how the body speaks from the inside to the outside.
I enjoy photography and am drawn to landscapes, seascapes, woodland and still life. Many of my images are more abstract in nature. Having a creative expression is important to my well-being.
